About Us
History
Ski-Ability is a charitable club based at Craigavon Ski Centre with the aim of providing facilities that give people with disabilities the opportunity to participate in skiing.

The Ski-Ability Club was formed in 1993 from an amalgamation between two separate bodies, both formed in 1991. 'DAS' the Differently Abled Skiers Club was run by qualified ski instructors based at Craigavon Golf/Ski Centre while Ski-Ability was run by professional staff from Musgrave Park Hospital and skied in Belfast. As the two merged the name Ski-Ability was retained.

Aims
Ski-Ability NI has trained ski guides which enable us to cater for a wide range of disabilities including wheelchair bound people, amputees, cerebral palsy, visually impaired and people with learning disabilities. In fact our aim is to get anyone and everyone skiing regardless of their disability!

In order to cater for the wide range of disabilities we require an extensive range of specialised adaptive ski equipment. Such equipment is expensive, therefore we are constantly organising fund raising events to raise money to enable the necessary equipment to be purchased.

Whenever possible trips are organised so that the thrill of real snow can be experienced and enjoyed by all.
